A 15-year-old boy toying with a guy accidentally shot his 16-year-old friend in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte, police said.

Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) spokesperson Supt. Martin M. Gamba said the shooting incident happened in front of Blind Spot Internet Café in Barangay Union, Dapa town.

Initial investigation showed that the two teenagers were playing with a Smith and Wesson .357 revolver when the suspect accidentally pulled the trigger and shot the victim in the abdomen.

The teenage suspect (name withheld) is under temporary police custody while investigation is ongoing,
