The Philippine government has approved the deployment of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) to 49 countries that guarantee protection of migrant workers.
The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said the new list of countries is in addition to the 76 countries earlier certified as compliant with the requirements of the Philippine government.
Governing Board Resolution No. 06 said the basis of the certifications was made by the Department of Foreign Affairs. The 46 countries are:
