The Iglesia Ni Cristo will be holding its grand evangelical mission Tuesday (February 28) at the Quirino grandstand in Rizal Park, Manila.
While the event officially starts at 5 p.m., the roads and streets leading to the venue will be closed to vehicular traffic as early as 12 noon, the Metro Manila Development Authority Tuesday said.
The stretch of Katigbak Drive, South Drive and Independence Road will be closed at exactly 12 noon onwards.
Designated parking
Parking areas have been designated along the North wing of Quirino Grandstand for VIPs. Those with car passes can park along South Drive from Roxas Boulevard to Independence Road.
Buses can park along the stretch of Roxas Boulevard from P. Burgos to P. Ocampo north and southbound lane (one lane only), the stretch of Bonifacio Drive north and southbound lane from 25th Street to Anda Circle (one lane only), the PICC Complex and Paco Park.
Light vehicles can park on one lane of T.M. Kalaw east and westbound near the sidewalk from Roxas Boulevard to Maria Orosa, Roxas Boulevard service road from T.M. Kalaw to P. Ocampo, eastbound of P. Burgos over the sidewalk from Roxas Boulevard to Maria Orosa and on the northbound lane of Bonifacio Drive over the sidewalk from 25th Street to Anda Circle.
Rerouting scheme
Light vehicles, along Roxas Boulevard from Baclaran to R-10, will be rerouted to take the right turn to Vito Cruz, left turn to A. Mabini towards T.M. Kalaw, right T.M. Kalaw, left Maria Orosa straight towards General Luna then left Aduana then right turn Port Area to R-10.
From R-10 to Baclaran, the alternate route is to take Aduana, right General Luna towards Maria Orosa, right T.M. Kalaw, then left M.H. del Pilar towards President Quirino, left President Quirino, right A. Mabini towards Vito Cruz to Baclaran.
Trucks and trailers can take a detour along Osmeña Highway to R-10 North Harbor by turning right at President Quirino straight towards Nagtahan, A.H. Lacson, left Tayabas (Yuseco) cross J. Abad Santos towards Raxabago straight to Capulong (C-2 Road) to R-10, North Harbor.
Those along R-10 (from North Harbor), take Capulong Street, Tayuman, A. Lacson, Nagtahan, President Quirino to South Super Highway.
