Unidentified gunmen have fired on a packed minibus last Tuesday (June 12) killing four people and wounding two others.
Reports said the attack begun when the vehicle approached Parang town in Jolo Island early morning as the suspects open fired on the vehicle.
The area is a stronghold of Al-Qaeda linked Abu Sayyaf group which is known for kidnap-for-ransom operations and bomb attacks which have terrorized the region for more than two decades.
Regional Police Director Mario Avenido said Thursday the driver, an army corporal, a 90-year-old woman and a 28-year-old civilian were killed in the attack.
