The Manila Police District (MPD) found three suspicious packages along Light Rail Transit (LRT) at C.M. Recto Ave. corner Oroquieta St. on Saturday, after it has received a phone call tip.
Contrary to earlier tweets from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority that they blasted open the packages that resulted to an explosion at LRT2 at 1:59 p.m., the MPD reported that the packages, which were forced open by their bomb squad using water charge, turned out to contain glass shards.
No one was injured or properties damaged, according to sources.
