An Intensity 3 earthquake was felt in the cities of Makati, Pasig, Quezon, and Taguig in Metro Manila on Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake, which was tectonic in origin, struck at 10:07 a.m., 31 km northeast of Doña Remedios Trinidad in the province of Bulacan.
Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum, in a philstar.com report, said that the tremor struck near the Sierra Madre and that it was caused by the movement of a local fault.
No damages have been reported.
