Campus Blast in North Cotabato Hurt 10 People

An explosion occurred at the Cotabato College Foundation of Science and Technology campus in Arakan, North Cotabato at around 8 p.m. on January 12, injuring at least 10 people, according to a report from Rappler.com.

Police authorities identified four of the victims as students Norsaiden Haje Jaron, Mohammad Omal, Marco Adam, and Saer Noisan Dimapalao. Also hurt was a teacher named Mohammad Nasa. Others injured were PO1 Eleasar Lorenzo, Albaser Manalasal, Jojo Casis, Melody Caro, and a certain “Louiskie.”

A post-blast investigation is ongoing to classify the type of explosives used as well as to identify the perpetrators and their motive behind the explosion.
