Our Video Surveillance Course will let you maximize your CCTVs’ potential

A premier asset-protection firm will help beef up your security measures and maximize the efficiency of your CCTV systems.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems have taken on an ubiquitous role in security designs. They’ve become, in modern society, shorthand for safety and surveillance. And yet: How effective are these cameras and feeds—and, more importantly, how effectively are we maximizing the advantages of the technology as tools for crime prevention and solution?

Ace and Associates Risk Management, Inc. (AAA), a premier asset-protection and security-risk management firm, shares its considerable knowledge in the Video Surveillance Course this 06 – 07 March 2017 at Hotel Jen in Pasay City, Philippines. The two-day course focuses on refining the already vital role that CCTVs play in safeguarding homes and places of business. Attendees can expect discussions on maximizing the use of CCTVs, on the importance of trained operators, and on improved proactive surveillance methods. This year’s course is focused also on other video surveillance devices. The course is part of the Asset Protection Courses and Symposia presented by SecurityMatters Magazine in partnership with AAA.

Ace and Associates provides various consultancy services to several multinational companies, among over 40 high-profile clients—including several prestigious projects of Ayala Land Premier, Anchor Land Holding, Ayala Hotels and Resorts. AAA has long recognized the importance of video surveillance in today’s business security landscape and advocates that more companies focus on getting more security out of their surveillance systems.

Its Managing Director and President, Augustus Caesar B. Esmeralda, will be the lead instructor for the course. Among his numerous credentials, Mr. Esmeralda is certified in Camera and in Access Control by the IPVM University, the world’s leading video surveillance information source that provides the best reporting, testing, and training for its members worldwide.

Mr. Esmeralda holds more than 17 years of experience in CCTV Operations. He honed his video surveillance skills when he was with DHL Worldwide as Country Security Manager for the Philippines; and as Regional Security Director of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, during which he covered nine countries and 37 properties.

Mr. Esmeralda holds numerous certifications and citations as a security professional, with specializations in digital and mobile security methods: He is an ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Certified Security Professional (CSP), a Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CATS) by Chartered International Institute of Security and Crisis Management (CISSM), a Certified Campus Security Manager (CCSM), and an International Crime Prevention Specialist (ICPS). He is also the first Certified Lodging Security Officer (CLSO) in the Philippines.

Mr. Esmeralda has also completed certificate courses from McAfee Institute on Digital and Mobile Forensics, Investigative Interviewing Methodologies, and Advance Social Media Intelligence Gathering.

This year’s First Quarter Video Surveillance event is the third set on CCTVs and its operators organized by SecurityMatters and AAA. Among the topics covered in the first two sets, held in Manila and in Cebu, were legal implications in operating CCTVs such as data privacy and surveillance techniques such as proactive threat profiling.
