Two foreign nationals working for a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) were apprehended over the weekend in an exclusive subdivision in Benguet. Cambodian national Khuon Moeurn, 37, and Chinese national Wang Keping, 35, were detained by agents from the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI)’s intelligence division.
The operation initially targeted a Chinese woman connected to a POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac, and led agents to a residence in Pinewoods subdivision, Barangay Poblacion, Tuba town.
Former presidential spokesman Harry Roque reportedly owned the house, though the BI has not confirmed Roque’s property ownership.
BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval stated, “The BI received no official information regarding this matter.” However, an unnamed intelligence official indicated that residents identified the house as belonging to Roque’s wife, Maila.
