It was in 2006 when a medium-high-rise building in Quezon City caught fire.
SPi Global Garnet security detachment commander Lorenzo Calumani and four other security guards who were at the scene immediately made use of the emergency fire hose and drenched the surrounding areas to prevent spread of fire. At the same time, the lobby guard quickly called the building administrator to inform all floor captains.
Calumani reported the incident to the nearest fire department. Their alertness saved not only lives but also saved the property.
