Hollywood movie starts shoot in Manila

The Metro Manila Development Authority has announced that traffic is expected to get heavy once the shooting of the Hollywood movie ‘Bourne Legacy’ starts on Wednesday (January 11).

Movie coordinators earlier announced that the shoot covers portions of San Andres St. from January 11 to 15, J. Bocobo corner Remedios Streets from January 18 and 19, Leveriza Street (from Balingkit to San Andres) on January 15, San Andres corner Quirino and Taft Avenue on January 14, Riverside Road, Real and Sta. Lucia Streets in Intramuros on January 25 and February 17 and 18, Jones Bridge on February 5 and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, February 8 to 15.

The MMDA however said that from January 11 to 13, Leveriza Street will already be closed to traffic between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Partial traffic blockages will also implemented along Quirino Avenue and San Andres from 7 a.m. to 5 a.m.

The alternate routes are the following:

All vehicles along President Quirino Ave. from Roxas Boulevard to Taft Ave. must turn right at M. Adriatico, left at Bagong Lipunan, right at President Quirino to destination.

All vehicles along President Quirino Avenue from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard must take San Andres, right turn at L. M. Guerrero, left turn at Remedios, left turn at Maria Orosa, right at San Andres, left at M. Adriatico, right at President Quirino to destination.

For buses along Roxas Boulevard – Coastal Road to Manila, it can right turn at Vito Cruz, left at Taft Avenue to destination. For buses from Taft Avenue – Manila to Roxas Boulevard – Coastal Road, turn right at Vito Cruz, left at Roxas Boulevard to destination.

The MMDA will announce the traffic rerouting for later dates.
