Another BIFF Attack on Army post

A military detachment was harassed by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in Maguindanao on Sunday night, which caused some residents to flee.
The BIFF attacked a detachment of the Army’s Alpha Company of the 4th Infantry Battalion in Barangay Magaslong in Datu Piang town at about 9:35p.m., 6th Infantry Division spokesman Colonel Dickson Hermoso said.
Civilians from the villages of Madtalbayog, Glaci, Magaslong and Gumbay sought shelter in the church and mosque of Poblacion Datu Piang because of the incident, he added, but could not give an estimate of the evacuees.
But as of 5 a.m. Monday, the residents already returned to their homes.
Hermoso said there were no casualties on the military side, while the BIFF side were not determined.
He said this was part of the BIFF’s retaliatory attacks from their several attacks last week in North Cotabato. Relentless pursuit operations were being made as of posting time.
