Armed men burned 11 buses in Laguna early morning of Monday, August 12.

Around 15 armed men wearing camouflage uniforms, identified themselves as policemen and entered the garage of HM Transport in Barangay Biñan in Pagsanjan, Laguna around 1:30 a.m..

The men, who claimed they were on an illegal-drug raid, then disarmed the guards at gunpoint and gathered the cellphones of everyone in the compound. The men then poured gas on the buses and  set them ablaze.

Nobody was hurt in the incident but the damages amounted to to over Php40 million.

The PNP is still investigating the attack. Reports suspect that the attack was another extortion ploy conducted by communist rebels.
