It all began on the 25th of May 1975, when the Philippines assumed the obligation and was chartered as a chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the premier organization for security professionals.
Last December 14, 2011 at Shangri-La Hotel in Makati, the Philippine Chapter of ASIS International officially inducted its incoming officers for the year 2012 namely Col.(ret) Dencio Acop as Chairman, Estelito A. dela Cruz Jr. as Vice Chairman, Mario Manipol as Secretary, Armeen Gomez as Treasurer and Jose D. Verceles III as Auditor. These incoming officers were inducted by the keynote speaker himself, Mr. Hermie Generoso Colina. Ace Esmeralda, the Assistant Regional Vice-President for Region 33-Philippines, was not able to attend due to prior commitments.
