Barangay Tanod Gets Stabbed For Apprehending Motorcycle Riders

A barangay tanod, identified by police authorities as Riane Yadao, of Panorama St., Barangay Concepcion Uno, Marikina City is now in critical condition after three men onboard a motorcycle stabbed him 21 times the other night at around 11 p.m.

According to Philstar.com, the incident occurred when Yadao, who was said to be on-duty as a deputized traffic enforcer at Panorama St., apprehended the suspects for not wearing helmets at the time.

After follow-up operation by the police, the suspects were arrested and identified as Florencio Alegonza, 24; Jeorge Asuzena, 23; and Moises Villanueva, 30. The suspects were also residents of said place.
