An 11-year old boy was injured after a portion of the ceiling collapsed inside the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City Sunday, September 15.

A YouTube video posted by a witness shows the boy lying unconscious around debris from the collapsed ceiling. It also shows the the mall’s security guards cordoning off the area while waiting for emergency personnel.

MOA management issued an official statement on its Facebook page explaining, “Due to the rains & strong winds [last Sunday], a portion of the Mall Of Asia’s South Arcade ceiling was damaged. The damage was minimal but an 11 year old was slightly injured. Full assistance was given to him by the SM Team. The boy is doing fine now.”
