Cabanatuan reaches 37 °C

Cabanatuan City recorded a 37-degrees Celsius temperature at 2 p.m. Thursday (May 3) while Metro Manila rose up to 34.3 degrees Celsius.

In its weather update at 5 p.m. Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila will continue to experience lesser heat than usual with temperatures Friday (May 4) and Sunday (May 6) to be between 25 to 34 degrees Celsius. Saturday will have a temperature range of 25 to 35 degrees Celsius.

In Metro Cebu, temperature will range from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius from Friday to Sunday. In Mindanao, Metro Davao will have temperature ranging from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Pagasa said a ridge of a High Pressure Area is extending across Southern Luzon and Visayas as the whole country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or in the evening.

In the afternoon, thunderstorms occurred over Baclayon, Loay, Alburqueque, Bilar, and Loboc in Bohol and in the vicinity of Consolacion in Cebu. In Mindanao, rainshowers happened over Banaybanay and Pantukan in Davao.
