Farmer killed by suspected communist rebels
Communist rebels of the New People’s Army (NPA) killed a farmer they accused to be a military informant.
Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines – Communist rebels of the New People’s Army (NPA) killed a farmer they suspected to be a military informant. Zamboanga del Sur Police Director Sofronio Ecaldre reported that last 12 March 2017, a man identified as 54-year-old Wilfredo Morales was found dead in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
The investigation revealed that the victim was shot dead by a group of armed men said to be NPA rebels. Investigation continues to identify the suspects and apprehend them.
