LPA Now Tropical Depression ‘NANDO’

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) off the coast of Dinagat Island is now a Tropical Depression.

According to the weather bulletin issued by Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 11:30 a.m. August 25, the Low Pressure Area East of Dinagat Islands has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named “NANDO”.

According to PAGASA, at around 10:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Depression NANDO was estimated to be at 290km east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. NANDO is expected to move North Northwest with a speed of 13 kph. It is expected to be at 270 km East of Virac, Catanduanes tomorrow morning.

NANDO is estimated to bring 5mm to 15mm rains per hour within a 300km radius from the center.
