LPA to bring more rains

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) has been spotted west of Metro Manila while an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Mindanao and Palawan, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

At 2:00 a.m. today, the LPA was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 540 km west of Metro Manila.

Pagasa said the weather conditions are to result to mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the western section of Luzon and Mindanao. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with most happening in the afternoon or in the evening.

In the morning, scattered rain showers are expected across Eastern Mindanao. Light to moderate rain showers will be felt near the vicinity of Tandag City in Surigao del Sur. Light showers are expected in Lucena city in Quezon.
