Metro Manila will have a respite from hot weather as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration predicted lower than the recent sweltering temperatures in the metropolis in the coming days.

In its weather update at 5 p.m. Wednesday (May 2), Pagasa pegged the temperature in Metro Manila on Thursday (May 3) and Saturday (May 5)  to be between 25 to 34 degres Celsius. Friday, Pagasa said, will have 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

In Mindanao, Pagasa said an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting the region, resulting to moderate to heavy rains on its eastern area. Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

A ridge of a High Pressure Area (HPA) is affecting Luzon. The region will have partly cloudy to, at times, cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Visayas has experienced thunderstorms particularly over the vicinity of Villaba and Tabango in Leyte.
