Police on full alert on long weekend

To ensure security during the long weekend, the Philippine National Police has placed its entire force under full alert starting 6 p.m. Thursday (October 27).

PNP spokesman Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr. reminded all unit commanders to secure all police camps and offices, vital installations, economic key points and places of convergence.

Cruz also said all command posts have been informed about the order for widest dissemination and for proper guidance.

In Metro Manila, the PNP will secure cemeteries, entry and exit points in the national capital, and places of convergence.

Similarly, the police will guard vital facilities including government offices as well as land transportation terminals, airports and seaports. The full alert will remain during the exodus of Filipinos to the provinces, until they return after the holiday.
