The CCTV Lecture Series part of SecurityMatters’ goal of safety and security education, tackling different areas of asset protection, security, and surveillance in a wide range of industries.
Nowadays, CCTV is synonymous to security—and people and authorities have become over-dependent on the system for crime solution. But what good is the technology if the CCTV system has no proactive role in crime prevention or detection? Is the CCTV system good only for documentation and crime solution? What is the use of a CCTV control room without any operator in active monitoring? Does it function as a mere ‘recording studio?’ It is time to pivot from this mindset and integrate access control into video surveillance to make a more robust and dependable system.
The Video Surveillance and Access Control Course is a two-day lecture that will cover the integration of access control and video surveillance as primary systems in asset protection and risk management.
- Understand asset protection and the elements of risk management.
- Learn the importance of risk assessment.
- Explore access control, video surveillance, integrated systems, and control center operations.
- Familiarize with the fundamentals of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED).
