Viral: ‘Good Samaritan’ Cop Helps Old Woman Pay for Medicine

A photo of a policeman helping an elderly woman pay her medical bills has gone viral and earned praise from netizens.

Celine Anne Giguera Hugo posted two photos of a police officer seen assisting an old woman on her Facebook account.

Hugo narrated that she saw the policeman, identified as PO2 G.P. Jalandoni, lining up at a counter in San Lazaro Hospital with an old woman she initially thought was his mother.

Later on, Hugo found out that policeman assisted and paid for the old woman’s anti-rabies medicine after he saw the poor lady looking helpless at the hospital’s waiting area.

Hugo shared that Jalandoni paid P1,200 for a whole vial of anti-rabies medicine, which he donated to the old woman.

She also praised Jalandoni for being a “Good Samaritan” and a good cop.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) also shared the post on its official Facebook page, with the caption: “Isang PNP Good deed muna ngayong umaga! Narito ang istorya ni PO2 Jalandoni. #PNPGoodDeeds”
