Woman stuffed in suitcase identified

The dead woman who was found inside an abandoned bag at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal on Wednesday has been identified as Neps Bahjin, reports said.

Reports quoting Pasay City Police Chief Superintendent Melchor Reyes said Bahjin was discovered inside a brown trolley bag left at Car Park 1 of the airport.

Bajhin’s body bore no stab or gunshot wounds, but initial investigation revealed choke marks around the neck and contusions on her face. The victim arrived from Bahrain at 3 p.m. on Tuesday (January 10) and was positively identified by relatives. She hailed from Patikul, Sulu.

Upon noticing the bag, airport security opened it after bomb sniffing dogs failed to detect signs of explosives. Though there were closed-circuit television cameras in the area, surveillance did not show where the body was dumped.

Reyes said that Scene of the Crime Operatives group has yet to submit its report.
