The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has announced today the lifting of ZestAir’s suspension of operations.
Last August 16, CAAP has suspended the airline’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC) due to numerous safety violations of several items of the Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations (PCAR).
CAAP Acting head Deputy Director John C. Andrews said that the release of ZestAir aircraft for flight is subject to inspection by Flight Safety Inspectorate Service (FSIS) airworthiness inspectors.
As of posting time, three aircraft have been cleared for flight. Other aircraft still need to address some safety concerns before being cleared upon inspection.
ZestAir has a fleet of 10 Airbus A320 and one A319. The three cleared are A320 aircraft with registry numbers RPC- 8994, RPC-8996 and RPC-8993.
