The Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) temporarily limited its operations between North Avenue in Quezon City and Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City Thursday morning.
In an interview with Radio dzBB, MRT officer-in-charge Renato San Jose they discovered a broken portion of the rail at the southbound part between the Boni and Guadalupe stations early today.
“Ang aming biyahe temporarily between North (Avenue) to Shaw Boulevard lang po. Meron kaming nakita kanina broken rail sa may Boni,” San Jose said in the interview.
Limited trips were implemented starting 8 a.m. San Jose said the repairs would take at least 20 minutes.
Update: As of 8:40 a.m., MRT-3 operations were back to normal. Trips between Taft Avenue and North Avenue stations have resumed.
