Some 45 kilograms of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with estimated value of P225 million were confiscated by authorities in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City Thursday morning.
Quezon City Police District Anti-Illegal Drugs – Special Operations Task Group operatives headed by Police Chief Inspector Roberto Razon seized the illegal drugs from arrested drug pushers Gary Go, 54, and Sherallyn Borromeo, 25, during a sting operation around 6:30 a.m. along West Avenue corner Baler Street in Barangay Bungad, Quezon City.
Anti-narcotics operatives said the two suspects sold some 5 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P5 million to an undercover agent.
The agents also seized an additional 40 kilograms of said illegal drugs from the suspects’ vehicle.
The suspects will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
