The ASIS International — Philippines Chapter formally introduced its new set of officers last year in Makati City.
Coinciding with the organization’s celebration of the Christmas season on December 1, 2008 at the Pasay-A Function Room of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, ASIS International – Philippine Chapter held the induction of its 2009 officers, namely, Gilbert Daquioag, Chairman; Carlos Bautista, CPP, Vice-Chairman; Leo Bungubong, CPP, Secretary; Henry Castaneda, CPP, Treasurer; and Mike Ranile, Auditor.
The inducting officers was Chris Nelson, Managing Director of Philip Morris-Philippines; Witnessed and attested by Hermie Coloma, CPP, Manager, Compliance and Security Division of Phillip Morris-Philippines; and ASIS International – Philippines 2008 Chairman, Ace Esmeralda, CPP.
To highlight the important role that security plays in business, Nelson gave a short address on the security programs that ensure the safety of his team, the Phillip Morris marketing staff, and the farming communities that supply world-class tobaccos to Phillip Morris. A short question-and-answer session with the guest of honor followed, as ASIS members discussed key points of his address related to brand integrity.
To cap the celebration, gifts were raffled off to ASIS members and guests during the party.•
