PROTECT 2024: Rethinking Global Security: Geopolitical, Operational and Digital Challenges

Tremendous challenges ushered the beginning of this decade – pandemic, economic collapse, a rush towards digitalization and dependence on the internet, political strifes around the world, a lot of social unrest, disruptive technologies and a surge in cyber-attacks causing an alarming threat to the cyberworld.

The dynamic landscape of global security demands a fresh approach—one that embraces collaboration between government and the private sector. Today, the scope of security threats transcends traditional military missions, posing risks that demand innovative solutions and unprecedented cooperation.

On April 18-19, 2024, the 16th PROTECT International Conference Series on “Doing Business
Amidst New Threats” will take place at the New World Makati Hotel. In-person at the hotel or virtual participation is offered.

Addressing geopolitical and societal risks while at the same time building trust in the digital age, PROTECT 2024 has gathered together policymakers, legislators, CEOs across diverse industries, representatives from financial institutions, academia, security experts, military personnel, scientists, and all stakeholders in security. The conference offers an environment of open dialogue, facilitating the exchange of ideas and insights among participants.

PROTECT is the only government-private sector partnership in the Philippines devoted to security of business, government, and the citizenry.

Organized in 2005 in partnership with the Anti-Terrorism Council, PROTECT was initially devoted to overcoming terrorist threats. Over the years, focus of the annual gathering expanded to cover other prevailing serious threats from global economic crisis, natural disasters, pandemics, cybercrimes and other physical threats that affect business.
