Security guards at the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport allegedly did not do anything and simply watched as actor Raymart Santiago and TV news personality Mon Tulfo fought inside the premises Sunday (May 6) afternoon.
According to Tulfo, he saw Santiago’s wife Claudine Barretto berate and scold a ground stewardess because their luggage was left at Caticlan airport.
“Sumisigaw siya sa ground stewardess. Umiiyak na nga yung tao. Ipapatanggal niya daw (She was shouting at the ground stewardess, who was already crying. She said she will have her fired),” Tulfo said.
Tulfo said at this point, he started taking a video with his phone camera of the whole incident.
Santiago then confronted him, asking him to stop what he’s doing.
Tulfo said when he didn’t comply, Santiago started hitting him, along with six other companions.
He added that someone was strangling him. Asked what the airport security guards did, Tulfo said they did nothing. “Mahina. Mahina sila (Ineffective, they were Ineffective),” he said.
Barretto, meanwhile, said it was Tulfo who started hitting their group. She said he even kicked him.
Barretto said it is not true that her husband was the one who instigated the fight. “Hindi ganun ang asawa ko, alam ho ng Diyos yun (My husband is not like that),” she said over the radio.
Barretto said it was Tulfo who threatened them, saying “hindi ninyo alam kung sino kinakalaban nyo kaya matakot kayo (You don’t know who you’re dealing with. Be very afraid).”
Barretto said the Closed Circuit Television Video (CCTV) of the airport will show what happened.
As of press time, neither NAIA nor Cebu Pacific has issued a statement on the issue.
Santiago, Barretto and Tulfo later proceeded at the airport police headquarters to have a medical check-up and file complaints.

starstruck security personnel? should there be a place for it while in the performance of duty, in this instance, crowd control and breaking-up a fight of celebrities
i hate the fact that they stood watching! are they too afraid of the personalities involved? i dont know, but i believe breaking up the fight should be the first thing on their mind when the fist fight occured!
