Woman commits suicide in LRT Pasay station

An unidentified woman between 50 and 60 years old, wearing jogging pants and what appeared to be a hospital gown, jumped in front of an approaching Light Rail Transit train in EDSA-Taft station in Pasay City early morning of Thursday, according to an ABS-CBNnews.com report.

The woman suffered serious head injury and died on the spot.

According to the official Twitter account of spokesperson Hernando Cabrera of the Light Rail Transit Authority, “CCTV shows the woman jumped into the tracks right after the platform guard walked by her.”

It has caused delay in the train operation, but following the removal of the body from the tracks at around 9 a.m, they have resumed operations 40 minutes later.

Scene of the Crime operatives have already conducted initial investigation on the case.
