3 killed, 16 hurt in N. Cotabato bus bomb

Three persons were killed while 16 others were wounded in an explosion inside a passenger bus compartment Wednesday in Carmen, North Cotabato.

The explosion occurred at around 10:25 a.m. inside the compartment of Rural Transit Bus (KVS 740) with body number 2922.

Police reports said an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unidentified suspects exploded after the bus reached Carmen Terminal in Poblacion, Carmen, North Cotabato,

The victims were on board the said passenger bus from Tacurong City going to Cagayan de Oro.

The military identified the fatalities as Analyn Sioco, 33, of Kabacan, and Rona Mae Causing, 18, from Bukidnon. The other dead remained unidentified.

The injured taken to Kabacan Medical Specialist Hospital for treatment were Denia Causing, Alan Hampiso, 36, his six-year-old son, Hana Janel Cosca, 11, and an unidentified victim.
