Shipping exec abducted while biking

Apparently, it is not safe to go biking anymore.

A 27-year-old manager of a shipping firm was riding his bicycle with some friends in Las Piñas last Saturday (May 5) when at least six men in police uniforms grabbed him and forced him into a Mitsubishi Adventure.

According to Las Piñas police, Vincent Cordero of Shogun Ships Co. was kidnapped along Daang Hari Road in front of the Versailes Subdivision in Barangay Almanza Dos. The incident happened at around 7:30 a.m.

Witnesses told police the perpetrators were armed with M-16 rifles and .45 caliber pistols. The Adventure’s license plate, WBF-237 belonged to another vehicle, according to police.

Cordero’s personal driver, Gerald Encarnacion, who was trailing him in a car, provided police with the physical profile of one of the kidnappers.

The police said they are scouring the nearby establishments for a possible video grab of the perpetrators in their close circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
