5.5-Magnitude Quake Hits Sultan Kudarat

A 5.5 magnitude quake shook Sultan Kudarat in Mindanao early Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The earthquake happened at 4:33 a.m., with its epicenter located at 70 kilometers southwest of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.

It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 620 kilometers.

As of this posting, there are no reports of damage and injuries from the tremor.
