Security professionals in the country are invited to the ASIS International – Philippines Chapter National Convention 2014 this coming October 10, 2014. The whole day event will be held in Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City.
TOPIC
Terrorism remains to be one of the top challenges to security. But terrorism as we know it has changed from the time leading to and after the attacks on 9/11. Like other security threats, it continues to evolve and threaten businesses and society. For the security industry, it is best to understand the ever-changing nature of terrorism to better guard against this ever-changing threat.
Evolving threat of Terrorism in Asia will be presented by Prof. Rommel Banlaoi, Executive Director of Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence and Terrorism Research (PIPVTR)
A Presentation and Panel Discussion on the topic Evolving Threat of Terrorism from Government and Corporate Perspective will also be held. Joining this discussion will be Matthew McLear, Security Manager of the Australian Embassy; Larmont C. Siller, Legal Attache of the US Embassy; Dennis Acop, CPP, Associate Director of Wyeth Nutrition (Nestle); and Armeen Gomez, CPP Vice President-Safety, Security & Investigation, Resorts World Manila.
