Tourism is a symbiotic industry where business players are dependent on the well-being of the other sectors. Nothing else disrupts the tourism industry than security and safety issues.
With this integral concern in mind, the 1st Tourism Security and Safety Conference will be held on 24-26 August 2016 at the SMX Convention Center, Davao City, Philippines.
The 1st Tourism Security and Safety Conference aims to:
- Present emerging threats and countermeasures in security and safety in the tourism industry;
- Create awareness of security issues and concerns in the industry;
- Identify and address pressing security concerns; and
- Provide avenues for sharing of best security practices across the industry.
This event is the first ever gathering of professionals who are tasked to provide security, safety, and risk management of tourism assets, properties, and other stakeholders. All those concerned with and responsible for protecting tourism-related business enterprises in the areas of Arrival, Access, Accommodations, Activities, and Attractions or the 5As are highly encouraged to attend this conference.
