Janelle Manahan, girlfriend of murdered actor Ramgen Revilla Bautista, has formally filed a complaint against members of the Bautista family for the unauthorized uploading of the ‘sex’ video which came out in December last year.
Manahan’s lawyer Argee Guevarra filed the complaint against Ramgen’s mother Genelyn Magsaysay and siblings Ramona Bautista, Gail Bautista, Ramlyn Bautista and Reuben Jesse Baustita before the Women and Children Protection Division of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Camp Crame Tuesday (January 10).
The complaint said Magsaysay and her four children violated Republic Act No. 9995 or the “Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.″ If proven guilty, the five would be imprisoned for three to seven years and fined from PhP100,000 to PhP500,000.
Earlier reports said the ‘sex’ video showed murder victim Ramgen Revilla having intimate moments with Manahan. It was uploaded on Facebook and was quickly imported to YouTube.
The clip, just one minute and thirty-seven seconds long, was immediately removed. Teasers however, remain in the video-sharing site, enjoining viewers to request for private viewing from certain anonymous bloggers.
Manahan’s lawyer Guevarra earlier accused Ramgen’s family as the ones who leaked the video. He also confirmed that Manahan is the woman in the video and that his client cried after learning of the uploading.
Guevarra said only someone with an access to Ramgen’s computer could upload the video. Ramgen’s mother Genelyn earlier said all of his son’s gadgets are in the police’s custody. She later admitted that Ramgen’s laptop is with her but that she doesn’t know its password.
Manahan is a witness against siblings Ramon Joseph and Ramona Revilla, who were tagged as masterminds in Ramgen’s Oct. 28 murder. Another sibling, Gail, and her husband Hiro Furuyama are also being included in the charge sheet.
