The Metro Manila Development Authority has announced that the Number Coding scheme will be in effect today (March 15) despite the planned nationwide transport strike against soaring petroleum prices.
The MMDA also announced that it is going to deploy free transportation for the public if needed. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and other government agencies will also deploy buses and trucks for the public, the MMDA added.
The Department of Education has announced that it would defer to local governments the decision to suspend classes in their respective localities.
