Health worker abducted in Jolo

Abu Sayyaf members are believed to be behind the latest abduction of a health worker in Jolo, Sulu last Monday (March 19).

According to the military, the bandits stopped a van carrying 6 health workers in Jolo on Monday. They later freed victims except for a 54-year-old village midwife.

Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Cabangbang identified the perpetrators as those led by Abu Sayyaf member Ninok Sappari who is wanted for several kidnappings in the area.
