Inmates Undergoing ALS Training Escaped Bukidnon Jail

Twenty-one inmates of a Bukidnon jail, who were at the time being trained under the Alternative Learning System of the Department of Education, escaped prison on Wednesday at past 2 p.m.

Reports said two of these inmates, who were supposed to go to the restroom, hit a jail guard on the head then stole the latter’s key to the armory. The inmates, armed with six shotguns and five 9mm pistols, brought with them a female jail guard as hostage. The authorities are now in pursuit of the escapees.
