Five Filipinos, including a year-old child, burned to death when their vehicle caught fire after it was hit by another vehicle in Doha, Qatar on Monday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the accident took place Monday noon on the Corniche-Wakra Highway near the Hamad International Airport.

Fatalities were identified as Marilou Cal, Joyce Lozada Gelli, Bencris Rivera, his wife Joycelyn Rivera and their child Arclian Zirc. The victims were burned beyond recognition.

According to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Doha, another car passenger, Susette Rivera-Baclor, a nurse from Misamis Occidental, survived the accident and is now recuperating at the Hamad Hospital.
