A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Antique Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
According to the Phivolcs bulletin, the epicenter of the quake, which happened at 4:05 p.m., was located 5 kilometers east of Culasi town.
The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 14 kilometers.
Intensity VI was felt in Culasi while Intensity V was felt in the towns of Sebaste, Pandan, Lauan, and Libertad also in Antique. Intensity V was also felt in Kalibo, Aklan.
Intensity IV was also felt in San Jose, Sibalom and San Remegio in Antique.
Intensity III was felt in La Carlota City, Roxas City, and Iloilo City, while Intensity II and Intensity I was felt in Cebu City and Zamboanga City, respectively.
Phivolcs said no damage and casualties have been reported yet but aftershocks are expected.
