Fast forward to the future. He’s still a security guard, giving you a salute at the door post.
But in this particular story, the boy who ran away from home to become a security guard, didn’t just become a security guard. Thirty years later, also became a doctor and a dean at a university.
Dr. Nelson Silva, former security guard, Philippine Navy reservist, and father of two, also finished a doctoral degree in business administration. He never gets tired of telling his students about how he built himself up from nothing.
