The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has predicted that temperature will reach 37 degrees Celsius today in the country.
In its latest advisory, the agency estimated the temperature in Tuguegarao City to reach 25 degrees (Celsius) at its lowest and 37 degrees (Celsius) at its highest. Tomorrow, the temperature in the city will be 24 to 27 degrees (Celsius).
Meanwhile, the temperature in Metro Manila is estimated to remain from 25 to 36 degrees (Celsius). Metro Cebu will experience 26 to 31 degrees (Celsius) and Metro Davao will have 24 to 31°C. Metro Manila experienced 36.6 degrees (Celsius) last Monday (April 30), the highest this year so far.
Pagasa said light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over the rest of the country. Meanwhile, the coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
The cooler weather in Visayas and Mindanao is due to a Low Pressure Area (LPA) estimated near Dumaguete City.
Palawan, Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
